At the beginning of the semester, a friend of mine that I work with suggested that I check out the series Downton Abbey. I had been hearing about this “Downton” buzz for quite some time, and I decided that it was too popular for me to become interested in it. I checked the first episode out on Netflix, and it didn’t really grab me, but Netflix automatically went on to the second episode, and that was my downfall! Now, in January 2013 I’m glued to this drama that started in 2010, and would have to catch up in about 3 months. I told another friend of mine that I work with, and we simultaneously watched season 1 within about a week, and waited about a month to rent season 2 from the library. Right before spring break, we started season 3 and watched about 4 hours straight at our Downton marathon viewing “tea”. We have since completed season 3 and like every other Downton fan, we are eagerly awaiting season 4′s arrival! I don’t only watch period dramas though. The Walking Dead has me up every Sunday night and I am eagerly awaiting the next season of Breaking Bad, among others. Are there any tv series that have you hanging on to every moment?
