A few years ago, a friend of mine taught me how to knit at her craft night. I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ll always keep my very first scarf to remember how horrible it is, and how I was just learning. When I show my friends, they laugh at how horrible it is, especially because the scarves I’ve knitted them turned out perfectly. It’s taken a while, but I’m rather ambitious when it comes to my hobbies so I decided to expand on the things that I could make. Since around 2008, I’ve knitted way more scarves than I ever want to think about, pot holders, a baby blanket, hats, ear warmers, mittens, dog sweaters and even a blanket for my cats since they sit on the couch. Knitting is definitely a peaceful hobby that I really enjoy doing. My next project will probably be a sweater, which even for me feels slightly ambitious. I tend to do more knitting in the winter, which is something that I should change because I love it so much. For me, there’s a tremendous amount of gratification that I feel after I’ve completed a project, usually because it can take a long time. A past manager of mine told me about pinterest about a year ago, and that has definitely helped with my knitting inspiration! Here are the baby blanket and the ear warmer that I’ve knitted.
